Danielle started DVH Law Group, PLLC, in January 2021, after practicing law for over two years at Shumaker Loop and Kendrick in Tampa, Florida. DVH Law Group currently has offices in Tampa and Washington DC, where she represents clients in humanitarian and family-based immigration cases before the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Immigration Courts, and the Department of State.

Danielle’s work in the public and private sectors has given her a distinct perspective on a wide range of topics, from public policy to the courtroom and her passion for the community has led her to become an active fixture in the Tampa community. Danielle has a weekly “Immigration Update” radio show on La Mega 101.1FM where she maintains the Latino community on immigration matters, updates, community events.

Danielle has worked as Assistant Chief Counsel for the Department of Homeland Security where she tried hundreds of cases on behalf of the federal government. Danielle worked as a political analyst for the federal government covering political and leadership updates for U.S. policymakers on matters in Western Europe. Danielle started her career in the World Bank Group focused on international investment arbitration. Danielle is a proud first generation American, and proud of her Ecuadorian roots. In her free time Danielle adores spending quality time with her 5 year old son Henry.

Community Engagement

Danielle is a proud graduate of Florida A&M College of Law, graduating in the top ten percent of her class.

Danielle earned a Masters of Law degree in International Legal Studies (LL.M) from American University, Washington College of Law in Washington D.C.

Danielle earned a Bachelors of Arts in Liberal Arts/Psychology from Florida Gulf Coast University.

Education

Danielle was appointed by the Mayor of Tampa to the City of Tampa's Equal Business Opportunity Advisory Committee (EBOAC), she serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Tampa Hispanic Bar Association, she is a part of the Tampa Chamber's Leadership Tampa class of 2023. Finally, Danielle serves in the Florida Bar's Grievance Committee for the 13th Judicial Circuit in Hillsborough County.
